My research focuses on the subjects face and body, how they are perceived both as an anatomical body (Korper) and as in relation to the world (Leib). The questions that I try to respond in an artistic way is: what is consciousness? What makes us say that a body is alive? What is the relationship between the signs of the image and our feeling of seeing a living body?
The research is complex and draws on both academic studies in the health field, having studied physiotherapy, both in philosophy, investigating various classical and contemporary authors that centralize as the concept of conscience and soul can be traced back to the body. Which has often been excluded from the debate on consciousness.
