I was born in Freiburg/Germany in 1965 and raised in Berlin (West) where I studied design at the Lette Verein and trained in fashion, graphic and later in film design. I don’t read words and letters I read in pictures and writing in images. My mother Hildegard passed on to me her gift of art photography – she was my paragon and mentor before she passed away in 1997. I understand my images as documentary, social political and conceptional art.

My photos are statements of a situation in my live. I'm not taking photos for there beauty or fashion. My images are storytelling, I want to make people thinking about.
