After having explored during two decades the arcane world of painting and material with acrylic, collage and superposition of materials, the gesture has softened to move towards more introspective techniques taking into account the wold of photography.This work turns on memory, childhood and toys. Digital photography and the digitization of his own figurines aim at recalling the impression of life, of reality he used to have with his own characters who are mingling now with the photographs of film stars from the Harcourt Studio of the time. The touching up of photographs, the "mat painting" as well as the baroque build up are intensifying the poetic need to escape he already had in his play scenarios as a child.Nostalgia is still what it used to be.
