Oonagh Bagley is a young British Portrait Artist that has recently graduated from The Birmingham Institute of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, achieving a Honours degree. Whilst practicing her own bold figurative art work, she is also undertaking commissions and exhibiting her own work.

Oonagh Bagley uses various mediums and styles, working mainly in oils and on Canvas. Her paintings have a suggestiveness and a subtlety, combined to great effect with an eye-catching and playful usage of colour and line, and explore the human form through the power of paint. Her portraits are both traditional and lifelike but incorporating a modern, contemporary style and capturing the personality and essence of the sitter.

Oonagh Bagley is currently working on a series of minimalistic nudes with strong lines and bright colours on a variety of different scales. Through her paintings, Oonagh has documented the vast array of vulnerable and seductive forms of the human body, creating lineal drawings on bold and bright backgrounds.

Oonagh’s paintings are a lasting testament to their subject, and will be enjoyed and appreciated for years to come.
