About

I am 29 years old. My art life started with drawing helicopters as a child, then dinosaurs from the film Jurassic Park.
Since then, I have been heavily influenced by the photo-realists such as Chuck Close, Malcolm Morley, Richard Patterson and others like James Rosenquist (who paints onto monstrously sized canvasses), Jacques-Louis David (for his carefully staged scenes and representation) and Caravaggio (for the light/dark [chiaroscuro] cinematic effect in his work). Recently, I have been looking at tattoo artists such as Guy Aitchison, Aaron Cain, Nick Baxter and Carson Hill who have reinvented the tattoo from the artwork of H.R. Giger, incorporating his bio-mechanical style of painting into their designs for the past 20 years or so.

My intentions as an artist is for my work to have impact on the viewer. The impact could trigger many feelings and thoughts but most importantly an attention-grabbing moment of absorption. However brief or lasting the amount of time is, it will happen. Read More
