ARTIST STATEMENT:


As a young individual and photographer, Nicole Chambers has learnt how to cope with the world around her. Photography has helped her appreciate everything she sees, in a whole new different light and perspective. Photography is an amazing pastime of the artist's, which helps her express herself through different ways and various aspects in her daily life. It has also helped Nicole Chambers understand the meaning, the motion, the speed and the rhythm of life. Photography has been and always will be a great passion of the artist’s, allowing her to show people what she feels and what she thinks is right for her, or for humanity.
Nicole Chambers’ style of photography can vary from the themes that she uses. While the photographer can easily move from street photography to still life photography, she still manages to keep a form of “uniqueness” and “individuality” in her work. The photographer’s work is distinguished by the addition of text and narrative, as well as cleverly thought titles. It is important to the artist that at least some form of text is added, so that the audience is then able to understand what an image means, in order to allow them to analyse the image in a clearer way. Nicole Chambers’ passion for photography appears in the way that she frames her subjects (have the subject be a person, or an object) and the approach she has towards explaining and describing each body of work.
