About
Born 1959 and living in Norway in Ski 25 km south of Oslo, where I have my studio.

"Morten Gran is working with objects such as cars, trucks and choppers. He paints the objects with great passion, using acrylic colours, and is devoted to the colours that the impressionists used. Recently he works with colourful and pop-art related elements. He has participated in several regional and national exhibitions, and has received several working grants - recently a 2-Year Artist Grant from Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond, Oslo 2006 and 2007."
"A series of these works have got the title Autocolor. Here we are presented to familiar and forgotten faces - with colour in their cheeks, the way we like to remember them - not necessarily the way they really look like. The point is that cars are a lot about colour; a classic, red Mini, the way Morten Gran has painted it, reflects quite another state of mind than a green version of the same body.
