Melissa stumbled upon collage art when she was going about one of her teenage phases...this time it was fashion design. She would piece outfits together of her own creation from various magazines, but even when she realized that maybe she was not cut out for the fashion industry, she continued experimenting in various juxtapositions that is collage art. Her inspiration comes from life experiences and overall frustration with life in general, as well as the occassional links to popular culture. She is very much open to all oppurtunities in the art world, especially after moving to Toronto, Ontario.
