> DESCRIPTION

Nov 10-16 exhibition UrbSanity; Reception Wed Nov.10, 6 - 9:30 pm. UrbSanity portrays urban life impressions through five artists’ eyes – Ksenia Wooster, Simonida Filipova Kitanovska, Mihail Korubin, Kasiopeja Naumoska, and Eva Lewarne. Wooster’s imagery is of a romantic dreamer enticed with New York’s and Miami’s scenery. Renowned Macedonian artist, Kitanovska symbolically paints an uncontrollable vortex of life with ‘light at ...the end of tunnel’ in Dragon Tales. Third generation artist Korubin, questions the sanity of urban life through a deconstructed face in “Binoculars”. Naumoska’s character withdraws completely hiding herself in a cocoon – will she blossom and thrive in urbsanity in the future?
Featured Canadian artist, Eva Lewarne has evolved from participant to a wise observer reflecting upon and loving what she sees. It’s the beauty of urban life: diversity, irony, expressionism. It’s taking a step back from life’s vortex and contemplating all of the opportunities and freedoms the "Candy Store" has to offer. Lewarne will be in present during the reception on Nov 10. Ten of her works will be displayed.
