About

I am a painter. I’m interested in the tradition of painting, and how the contemporary images are translated in to painting. What is gained? What is lost? I, m very interested in the notion of temporality, of how an ordinary image gains a new temporality when it becomes a painting. To me every image is a possible painting. Is like a kind of everyday struggle, trying to incorporate in painting the world mediated by an uninterrupted flux of images. To me this is the paradigm of a new contemporary anxiety: the end of a hierarchy and the consequent search for an “Ideal Image” – the perfect reflection of the world. I like to think of it more like a kind of a “Quixotesc” fight in witch I’m always losing.
