Born in Milan, I attended the Art High School in Milan and in graduated from Universita` Internazinale dell'Arte in Florence with a Diploma in Conservation of artworks. As a painter I am self taught. I lived and worked in Milan, Florence, Rome and New York.Aside of my activity as an artist and painter, I have always practiced the profession of Art Conservator, which gave me a very close connection with the physical presence of the artworks.

I think and live the experience of art as an aesthetic one in which vision, in a very physical sense,
and language, as a possibility to address this physicality, are crucially intertwined.
Both in my installation projects and paintings in color and black and white, I am attempting to
challenge our certainty about vision and what we are seeing. When we look at something we
enter a space and in return that space reconfigures our own internal orientation, and in this
moment of disorientation, in this gap, I believe lies the possibility to address our world in a new
way.
