Katerina Marianou was born in 1955 in Greece, in the Athenian port of Piraeus. She studied Fine Arts and Graphic Arts in Athens. Progressively she experimented, with success, in the development of chemically-processed photographs and prints.

Artistic nude photography: The exhibition entitled “Zyranna” comprised a collection of nude portraits of Zyranna Zateli, beloved friend of the photographer and famed European author. It was through this exhibition that Katerina Marianou herself achieved fame.
