Born in 1960, the Swiss painter and sculpture Marc Reist lives and works in rural surroundings. Pictures and sculptures are the products of his studio
Sculpture:
The tension between statics and movement makes itself felt. Viewing these works, you find yourself drawn into an interplay between the rigid material and the moving form.
Painting:
Generously dimensioned pictures, painted in acrylics on canvas, in which a dialogue between two colours takes place.
The many-layered colour surfaces invite the viewer to plunge into their depths.
