I was born in north-eastern Iran in June 1981 and grew up in a historical city, Sabzevar, before starting
higher education in Mashhad city, the second biggest city in the country which I inhabited for nine years
prior Europe.
I graduated with a B.Sc. in Geology from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM). Since the earliest days
of my studies, I got much more acquainted with art activities having been performed at FUM, and the city
which inspired me for music and painting, and studied as a part-time student in art colleges and communities
along with my full-time studies as a geologist which initially made me a landscape painter that resulted in
several solo- and group-exhibitions. My personal interpretation of the objects in the cadre, and use of intense
colour and severe forms identified my distinct style.
I was awarded the Instructor’s Certificate of Handicrafts & Arts in the Painting Area from Technical & Vocational Education, Ministry of Labour & Social Affairs by extending my skills to other painting approaches,
from landscape to portrait/figure, from pencil and pastel to ink, watercolour, acrylic, oil.
I arrived in Ireland in March 2009. Continuing my research, I then visited European art centres and museums
in Dublin, Paris and Berlin, and participated in advanced courses in National College of Art and Design
