Lucy Godwin
About
Born in London, England on October 25. Grew up in Geneva, Switzerland and Sussex.
Been living for many years in funky LoLo area of North Vancouver, BC Canada, located in between the ocean and the mountains.
My work has been described as "when Pollock meets Basquiat."
I am a contemporary, expressionist artist working in acrylics. My figurative work offers commentary on social injustices through an adaption of tribal imagery and shamanistic iconography. My process is a stream of consciousness and evolution in search of a trans-cultural visual language, often containing encryptions and symbols.
