Artist Lucy Young’s expressionist paintings capture the essence of movement and light found on the coast near to where she lives.

Since graduating with a top BA Hons degree from London’s Westminster University in 2002, Lucy’s reputation as an artist has grown rapidly. Her paintings are shown in galleries throughout the UK from London to St Ives, and she receives commissions from around the world. Lucy has exhibited her paintings at The Chelsea Flower show and been an artist in residence at Dorset Art Week. As part of the BBC’s Arthouse Collection, her work is also regularly selected for film and TV.

Lucy’s uplifting painting style is created with great subtlety and skill. Her play on light, combined with her signature iridescence and texture, evokes shifting effects in the finished result.
