She received a master degree in visual art /paintings / from the Academy of fine Arts in Prague, Czech republic. She studied also in Finland ( 2008-) and in Sweden (2009). Skrivankova is a painter, but also she makes performances, and experimental video work. Body of her work centered in architecture, civilisation, city. She has exhibiting her works since 2005. In Prague, Brusel, Stockholm, Lisboa and other Europien cities.
The painter ́s long-term focus has featured the theme of architecture. She draws her inspiration from visiting and living in various European capitals. In her paintings, Lucie captures fragments of urban landscapes that somehow attract her attention. The chosen places then become change into the territory – the demarcated space to define and protect one another from the other individuals just shortly until another territory is chosen. Real presence of the author in various city corners ranges up to the undiscernibly deformed perspective. The author reflects the personal experience with the place via the dynamic irrationality of composition of space. The reality is affected by mood and memories which results into a subjectively perceived portrait of a city. Although architecture is not a living entity, the energy of the painter ́s gesture involves the audience in the action. Layers of painted-over photographs and posters are showing through and strengten the feeling that we must search for the hidden content. The author projects herself
into the architectural landscapes. The self-portrait of the artists and portrait of the city fade into one another.
Lucie Skřivánková ́s works combine painting and photography – a collage.
Photographs are first taken by the author, then she tears them into pieces, makes variations from the new pieces into newly arranged original spaces that are painted over. The original photography is just what we presume. As a painter, she uses various techniques and forms, particularly, she accentuates pieces of paintings that remain uncovered. Her paitings are seemingly unfinished as she admits, yet the moment when the painting is considered to be finished is the central aspect of her work.
