Lee has been selected again for the Blake Prize Director's Cut exhibition in Sydney with work "Crucifixion Cup". This work was also included in the side exhibition to the Global conference "Semi Permanent" held in Melbourne Australia this year.
Australian born artist who is completing a Phd in Fine Art, based on the Bernini's Bel Composto.Inspired by the Baroque period of the 17th Century, Lee-Anne creates mainly large scale monochromatic works that embrace Gian Lorenzo Bernini's concept of the Bel composto (beautiful whole, where within them are emotionally charged works, focussed on the altering of states, otherworldly experiences and spiritual awakenings. Often using the woven image to convey her research, the surfaces writhe and move threatening to engulf.
