Lisa Dombek

About

Lisa Dombek is a listed American Artist. Originally from Blue Hill, Maine, she has lived and studied in major US metropolitan areas. She has also explored the performing arts as dancer, musician and performance artist. Taking photographs has also been an important documentary and inspirational influence. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Portland galleries as well as national juried shows.

I tend to work from the inside out. Working in Series appeals to me since it allows development of an idea, whether visual, spiritual, metaphysical or allegorical. In earlier years I found much inspiration in nature and relationships. As time progresses, I am profoundly influenced by global events and cultural shifts. In terms of process, I work abstractly and intuitively, allowing my conscious/unconscious to become intertwined, as conduit, letting the voices speak.
