ARTIST STATEMENT
Diversity has been always an integral component in my success and happiness in both my professional and personal life. It is therefore no surprise that my artistic career has moved through so many stylistic paths in the past years. There was a time in my life when I felt committed to the ideas of the Abstract Painting. Then I became totally dedicated to the Representational Art done in a very spontaneous and expeditious manner. Nothing satisfied my needs or my soul for a long period of time.
As years went by I discovered that the only way I could be true to myself as an artist is to paint through my eyes and my essence. To paint as I see, without lying to myself but also without becoming a slave to the Realism. My paintings therefore are the depiction of what I see sieved through my personality, sensitivity and artistic vision.
I find oil paint most suitable for my needs and expressions but depending on what my vision is that I am trying to convey on canvas, I sometimes use aquarelle and acrylics techniques.
My art does not focus on one particular theme or subject; I enjoy depicting landscape, find it intriguing to paint still life as well as portraits and figurative paintings. What counts to me the most is the satisfaction of the creation process and the end product of exquisitely completed painting.
