Mediates a dialogue between expressionism and process to create painterly narratives that are both gestural and slick. His work has an hallucinatory vibrancy and a digital-like quality that echoes the virtual and sometimes surreal, kaleidoscopic CGI environments that are constantly within our periphery. He brings his historical references and methods of practice directly into the present, using them as a catalyst for initiating and teasing out organic forms that, along with the titles of his paintings, often allude to his interest in film and TV science fiction, pseudo spirituality and popular music culture.
