About
I have been looking at the connections between the skills people hold and their recreational activities. I see the people I have painted as being highly imaginative and passionate; they have left a impression of their culture & religious beliefs with me which has caused me to question my own direction. I am currently working on a sculptural piece forged from cast iron, aluminium, steel bronze and wood, taking christianity as the main theme through this particular collective. It grabs the senses in a furious exploration of the human physique. This journey has sharpened my perception of the barriers inherent in all relationships whether religious political or personal.

After leaving school in 1978 I attended Wakefield Art College where I studied graphic design. Following this I completed a three-year photographic course.
A handful of my past exhibitions have been held in the following venues:
Stinky's Peep House, Leeds.
Wakefield City Art Gallery.
Findley House, Whitkirk, Leeds.
Wakefield City College Of Art.
The Yorkshire Arts Circus.
Photography:
I worked in conjunction with the BBC, Yorkshire Television and Blue Note Records.
Substantial amounts of my photographic work has been included in books varying from sports to social documentary.
