Laura Rambelli, born 17.09.1980 Faenza (Ravenna) Italy. Painter and graphic designer.
Until now she made 3 solo exhibitions in Italy and took part to several collective art exhibitions in Italy like Venice, Florence, Verona, Catania, Naples, and she received one award and several mentions. She took part to artistic residences in the East Europe (Serbia and Makedonia). Meantime, she also work like graphic designer in the advertising (music, fashion, cosmetics brand). She uses paint and drawing to best express herself. Through white color, she want to express the freedom and the detachment from the schemes never belonged to her. White becomes an important graphic element to describe expressionist shapes, in order to portray a personal emotion, maintaining a compositional spirit. Her paintings reflects what she feels, dreams, and catchs from her travel.
Her last travel brings Laura to Shutka, the biggest Roma people city, in Skopje, Makedonia. She is interested about this people since several years, so her new collections it’s about this people, a sort of tribute to them, whom accepted Laura in their “way of living”. White is still present, like to light up the vitality of Roma people.
She also works like graphic designer since 2001, when she started to created for Irma Record (Italian independent record label) for 7 years and untill now, she has designed mainly for Music, Fashion and Cosmetic's brands like graphic designer freelance.
