Kirsten Gould was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and was raised in the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. She received her BFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.
Kirstenʼs paintings are an exploration of light in nature; how it governs our sight, perception and understanding of the world as a whole. By studying these intricate subtleties, she is able to create work that captures light in some of its most complex states. Her current body of work emphasizes these subtleties in multiple settings; from picturesque locations within the city of Savannah, to isolated marshes on the coastal islands.
Following graduation, Kirsten plans to relocate to Sarasota, Florida and pursue a career within the local arts community.
