"In my paintings, the figures being alone represent the human being's 'situation of being on someone's own' is the obligatory requirement to comprehend the 'time' as pure. To sense the continuousness at any moment, the watch rotor is in the paintings as a symbol of this continuousness. Moreover, I sometimes emphasize on the space and time constant differentness that is drived from this continuousness by the magazine pages on the background. There is/are only right or left eye(s) on the faces but in one side; the (eye) retina is enough for identification after all. Each figure of mine is 'Dasein'. As Heidegger's use; it is aware of existing in the time temporarily and feeling its existence. Constantly. While 'Dasein' as a reference to the figure's self awareness, in the paintings awareness leads being realized."
