The focus of this work relates to contemporary environmental issues, essentially those connected to the landscape. It explores some impacts of population and economic growth on the city of Melbourne: urban sprawl, sewage treatment, water health and exploitation of resources.
Aerial photography allows to record the ‘bigger picture’: the perspective obliges the viewer to leave the ordinary point of view and place himself from above. Visually, when photographing, the focus is in the lines, forms and color.
The images document a specific moment of the city's development, constituting a tool for future planning.
