Have been drawing and skecting since childhood, and later at the age of 14,painting in oils and acrylic, also pastels, as well as working with modeling clay and making moulds.From 1975 to 2011 my paintings have covered a wide range of subjects, Portraits, Landscapes, Seascapes and Wildlife. Since 1990 I have been inspired by the stories from Irish Celtic Mythology – especially old Celtic Romances. These wonderful tales are the folklore of a people to whom story telling came as naturally as breathing, and even after many centuries still make fascinating reading. They satisfy a need that is deep in the human spirit. In the glittering otherworlds of Celtic myths are invisible realms of Gods and Spirits. the veil between the visible and invisible worlds is gossamer thin. Druids, Bards and Seers pass in and out on spirit flights or journeys of the soul. Enchantment permeates Celtic myth, shrouding the tales in a haunting dreamlike quality.
