The concept of my work I derive from my unconscious mind (manifest through meditation, random association, dream analysis), which I reconfigure to suit the context of a particular series. I have absorbed many influences over the years, however there is no attempt to model my work on a particular artistic style. There is always an informal narrative structure to each series I construct in order to convey my impressions of contemporary life. The unconscious is a master of engendering unusual yet intriguing imagery and narratives, despite the underlying tension often experienced while asleep. I find it is desirable to redeploy dreams to build upon a design idea in order to enhance or resolve an issue. I also value the imagination, which transforms the raw materials of the unconscious into a finished artwork. In other words, my art forms as a result of this ingestation of life, which stands out in view of my imagination.
