Introducing photographic artist Ivan Butorac, whose artwork captures the raw organic beauty of plants and tree landscapes in today’s decaying environment. Ivan digitally transforms his photographs into art forms, and often uses repetition and symmetry to create extraordinary surreal haunting patterns and figures of nature that will leave an imprint on your imagination for a life time.
Born March 9, 1980 in Belgrade Serbia, Ivan finished elementary and high school in a war torn country under malevolent dictator Slobodan Milosevic. Ivan was witness to immense suffering while continuing his studies after high school in acting at an arts academy in Belgrade. Always being a rebel, Ivan surrounded himself for a decade with artistic people who held nonviolent protests against the war.
Heavily influenced from his artistic parents who filled his home with art, Ivan attempted to paint, write, and draw but discovered his true talents lie in collage and photography.
Ivan was always in a state of motion and experimented with a lot of media. Using his father and grandfather’s old camera equipment, started taking pictures and making collages out of old photos.
Nature and Love are his greatest inspiration he said "it is so pure and there is no ego in it like in most of the people and everything is working out whit perfection and we tend to mess up a lot of things , we all need more love for each other and mother nature".
Recently move to Los Angeles and started printing his work and already had 4 art shows.
currently have art displayed at :Cappellini showroom 8950 Beverly Boulevard, West Hollywood, CA 90048 , Diva Rocker Glam 8711 West Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood, California 90069.
