Isaac McCaslin Grew and painted In a southern Louisiana town on the other side of Lake Ponchartrain, North from New Orleans surrounded by wetlands, palmetto forests and rivers. Isaac began classes in the fall of 2008 at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia where he will graduate from in 2013. In 2011 Isaac received the London International Creative Competition’s Talent of the year award. Isaac has become increasingly fascinated with the rise of imaging technologies in the digital age and is painting a new series exploring this new source of inspiration as it relates to his nostalgic memories from the swamps. In 2011 he displayed works in a tent at Savannah’s Telfaire Art Fair, And completed a series of 7 monumental landscape murals in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
After graduating SCAD Isaac will continue to develop a his series until he has resolved a complete body of work which he will use to apply to residencies like Studio in the woods, and grad schools like PAFA and Yale.
