Born in 1948 in Caracas, Venezuela. My parents arrived in Venezuela after leaving Ukraine. I did not study Arts formally. My mother taught me several techniques, but I followed my way while dedicating to other activities. My grandfather, Vasyl H. Krychevsky (Ukraine 1873-Venezuela 1952), was the designer of the Ukrainian Coat of Arms, the Ukrainian Republic seals and state emblems in 1918. The designer of the Taras Schevchenko Memorial Museum and many other buildings. He was architect, painter, graphic arts designer, theather and film stage designer, art scholar. I paint and draw since a child. Used to draw in the notebooks during classes in school. I would have liked to illustrate books Some now and then I have done logos.Anything can inspire me.
I graduated in Chemistry in the Venezuelan Central University, M.Sc.in Chemistry in the Venezuelan Scientific Research Institute, where I worked in Radiochemistry, Biochemistry, Heterogeneus and Homogeneous Catalysis, but had to leave at 33, due to chronic intoxication which left me with sequels.
I also like to experiment every now and then doing music with keyboards. Sometimes, I close my eyes when I am playing keyboards, and can see extraordinary worlds, which are not possible to paint. Music and images are somehow mixed in what I do.
Now I am working mostly with digital media, collage, and sometimes ink, acrylic and oil. I participated in collective exhibitions in Venezuela, in Chicago, and have had solo exhibitions in several cities in Venezuela.
