  • Guns, weapons, knives and/or ammunition
  • Human and/or animal parts and remains
  • Drugs and/or drug paraphernalia
  • Military items

If you follow the guidelines for photographing your artwork at http://www.saatchionline.com/artschool, you will maximize your chances of getting past this step.

These are some of the things that we are looking for when we verify image quality:

  • Good lighting
  • Sharp focus across the entire image
  • No blemishes, sensor spots or other imperfections
  • No compression artifacts. Make sure that you save your image with the highest quality JPG settings. Make sure that your camera is set to the highest quality settings.
  • No noise. Make sure that they are shooting at a low ISO. This will produce the cleanest image possible. Noise reduction software and filters will reduce the sharpness and detail of an image, and may lead to a rejection.
  • Camera equipment. Some models of camera are just not good enough to produce print quality images. Use the highest quality camera that you can get your hands on. Choose an appropriate lens. Using the wrong lens can also produce poor image quality.

Please do not think of this as trying to get past our inspection process, but rather trying to produce the highest quality image possible so that the buyer of your art will have the highest quality reproduction possible. Having a good clean image will be noticeable even from the small versions on the webpage, and will lead to more sales too.

How do I specify multiple shipping addresses?

At this time, we do not allow multiple shipping addresses per order. You may place a separate order if you need to ship to another address.

My tracking says "Delivered" but I still haven’t received my artwork.

If your package was processed through a local post office or courier, tracking details may say 'Delivered' once it arrives at the carrier's facility, but it may take a day or two to arrive at your address.

If you've waited a couple of days and you still don't have the package:

  • See if someone else accepted delivery. Check with household members, neighbors, building managers, the mailroom, front desk, and anyone else who may have accepted the delivery.
  • Look around the delivery location. Carriers sometimes leave packages in a safe, hidden place like on a side porch, in/around your garage, or behind bushes.
  • Check for a mail hold. If the shipping company is holding your mail, your package won't be delivered.
  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery. You may find an attempted delivery notice in your mailbox or P.O. Box or on your door. Follow the instructions on that notice to request redelivery or pick up the package.
  • Contact the carrier. Ask if they have additional information about the package's location. (Have your tracking or delivery confirmation number handy.)
  • Most packages arrive by the estimated delivery date listed. If you don't receive the package by then, please allow an additional day or two for the package to be delivered. Occasionally a carrier will scan a package as delivered before it arrives at the final destination.

What happens if my package is undeliverable?

Occasionally packages are returned to the artist as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to the artist, we issue a full refund minus shipping charges.

We are unable to re-ship orders that are returned to the artist as undeliverable. If you would still like to purchase items that were undeliverable, you would need to place a new order on Saatchi Online.

If you suspect your order cannot be delivered as addressed and you have not received confirmation of its return or refund after 4 weeks from the estimated delivery date, please contact us using at help@saatchionline.com

Why was my package undeliverable?

Our carriers may deem a package undeliverable for one of the following reasons:

  • P.O. Box - Artwork cannot be delivered to a P.O. Box and must be shipped to a street address.
  • Incorrect Address - If the address is incorrect or outdated, the package is returned to the sender by the carrier or the unintended recipient. Please double-check your address carefully when placing a new order.
  • If an APO, FPO, or DPO address is entered as an international address, the package will not reach its destination.
  • Carrier Does Not Deliver to the Address - Our carriers do not deliver to some addresses. Please contact the carrier for more information.
  • Address Format - If an address was entered in a format unrecognized by our carriers, the package may be returned to the artist. To ensure that such packages are delivered to the correct address, please enter the address in the correct format or contact the artist if the format is non-standard.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts - Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. Packages will always require a signature.
  • Refused by Recipient - If the recipient is not expecting a package, the recipient may refuse the package if he or she believes it was sent in error.

Delivery Service Delays

If you live in an area experiencing an unexpected service delay (severe weather, natural disasters, unscheduled events, etc.) please add at least 2 to 3 business days to the estimated delivery date of your order.

Does Saatchi Online offer combined shipments?

We cannot combine shipments of original works of art, even if the art works come from the same artist. This is because the artworks should be individually packed and shipped. We try to combine prints into the same shipment if the order meets the following criteria:

  • Multiple prints are placed through the same customer account
  • The prints are being shipped to the same address
  • The prints are shipping the same time
  • There are some cases when we won't be able to combine shipments. We may not be able to combine types of orders being shipped to an international shipping address

Is there a time limit regarding reporting unsatisfactory orders?

As a buyer, you have seven (7) days from the date that you receive your purchase to report any complaints.
