Welcome to my gallery. I have been painting mostly in modern impressionistic style varying from degrees of impressionism to abstract work. I started painting as a child and I first started with watercolors. I now paint mostly in acrylics and oils with an occasional watercolor. I aim to capture a scene in the moment as I see it and as the colors tend to blend together as they are worked on the canvas. Many of my pieces seen here are done in acrylics because of my painting style. I love the speed of drying time associated with acrylics and the way they work together. I tend to use oils for larger more blended pieces because of the way this medium works for those pieces. I will often use bold colors mixed with more subdued colors depending on the subject matter. I have a passion for sun-scapes and beach-scapes as well as natural scenes, which will often be done in a more impressionistic style. I hope you enjoy looking through my gallery.
