Georg Scheele was born 1961. He is trained as a stonemason and began his
career crafting marble sculptures over 30 years ago.
When working with marble georg says, his aim is to explore the boundaries
of possibility with both material and subject matter. He draws from inner
images and spontaneity to try to convey and encompass all dimensions, the
emotional, the intellectual and the spiritual. This is shown in a sensual
movement of each piece as they twist and turn in harmony to create a
beauty of their own.
Georg has been living and working in Portugal since 1990, he has exhibited
his work in Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Scotland, England and the USA and
his pieces are in Collections worldwide.
