I like to hike up mountains and down gorges, in forests and waterfalls, looking and feeling for the right landscape. My painting is about rebirth. Many of my 'special places' are waterfalls and pools with very difficult access, but that is all part of the challenge and the fun of it. Painting for me is a day out in nature, transcribing the magical feeling from the subconscious with colour and brush stroke by means of quick small oil paintings. The landscapes are a reflection of the female body. I like wild, natural, unspoilt, cool and quiet places.
