I was born in Poland. Upon my arrival to North America in 1996 I decided not to continue scientific career in Biological Sciences but to pursue art and painting.In 2006 I showed my final MFA show at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Through painting, I express my interest in instances of the contemporary womans subjectivity. Finding freedom and personal meaning in midlife is an area of concern, particularly for women in regards to our cultures emphasis upon the value of youth. The work depicts my desires to grow as an individual and as an artist by pursuing personally defined goals as well as to find freedom and meaning for sexuality in midlife, a critical time of transition for women. The work alludes to the conflict between the pursuit of personal goals and the pressure to measure up to the stereotypical feminine ideals propagated by the media. The multilayer works on un-stretched canvases depict my memories, desires and fantasies on the path of searching for love and personal meaning.
