About

Profile
Born in 1975 in Mexico City.
I had always carried a camera, but five years ago, after being a teacher for almost 10 years I decided to devote myself to art photography.

I use photography as a medium to achieve images. but I dont think about myself as a photographer because the photographic image its just a part of my work, not the end of it.
My work flows trough three aesthetic discourses. An hybrid where photography and other graphic elements (drawing, maps, paint, etc.) are integrated trough digital mediums: collage and montage are my main artistic languages. Another part of my work its more direct and related to a photographic genre (the still life) and to the conceptualism and minimalism traditions. Another portion of my work uses pinhole photography in a more documentary style.
Three main topics cross all my work: the contemporary city and its dystopias, the family and the social illness associated with it, and an autobiographical exploration of childhood and identity. Read More
