Originally from The Netherlands, I'm now living and working in Scotland since 2005.

I've been working fulltime in my photography business PictureNature until 2010 when the collection was taken over by an international library. Then I decided it was time to focus on my own creativity again. After several art courses in Aberdeenshire, I found that painting abstracts in acrylics, gouache, ink and mixed media (including natural materials, collage and textiles) is what I'm really passionate about. In 2011 I started to exhibit my work, receive commissions and sell original paintings, prints and handmade notecards.

Fenfolio is my artist and blog name. Fen is my nickname and folio means "a sheet of any written or printed material". My blog displays my art and photographs and is a personal notebook of what inspires me to make a certain painting.
