My niche is mind body spiritMy art is a form of spiritual communion, something that comes from deep within me. It fits within four categories: energy, creation, soulmates and self-portraits. My cartoon art provides a more accessible and often humorous angle to my fine art.I have two differing styles: -layers of colour blanketing the canvas in my fine art-line drawings with a splash of colour in my cartoon art. I choose not to separate these art forms because the basic message is the same for both. The art expresses experiences in my spiritual journey - the fine art, that of a higher consciousnessThe cartoon art reflects the human experience at a more mundane, obviously human, level. My work can be described as colourful, abstract, energetic, humorous, thought-provoking, powerful. My inspiration is wrestling with spiritual concepts. This is my entire reason for living although seeking the spiritual in art is nothing new. In my life and work, my intention is to tune in to a higher level, one of vibrational frequencies, essences and particles.This is what I believe is the mystical underpinning of reality.Yet, at a human level, we cannot really know, and even scientists theorise! My interpretation, through my art, manifests as shapes, colours and forms. Others may see the same.Or may react to the shapes and colours on a more instinctive level, according to their personal beliefs. The cartoons, on the other hand, come from a much more pragmatic or mundane perspective. Both art forms are a kind of spiritual discipline: they are products of my spiritual beliefs. They try and say what words cannot adequately express - that we are all one in the Great Everything.Each particle of spiritual energy is charged with its own creative power and will. The cartoon art is a more accessible and often humorous way of expressing some of those ideas. It is available in a range of merchandise. A range of collectable cartoons, based on the little books, is currently being created and produced.
