Aliya Boranbayeva is an artist who creates landscapes, seascapes, and portraits in the Impressionist genre. Her artworks embrace the decorative side of art and reflect the notion that the simple awe-inspiring beauty of nature and people can be captured on a canvas in different variations, colours and shades.
She started her artistic journey in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Following earning a certificate in art in 1997, she initially developed a career in Journalism and PR. Her passion to create never ceased, and upon her move to London in 2007 she started new experiments with oil paintings and has continued producing ever since.
Aliya’s artworks are an adventure of colour that range from soft tender shades to striking vibrancy. She is inspired by emotions and dreams to create stories, as depicted in her work.
The paintings have a deceptively subtle appearance with their gentle pastel color mix, yet are multi-faceted with multiple paint layers. And at the same time, they have been described as ‘beautiful’ and ‘full of life and bright energy’.
In 2012 Aliya started designing luxury fashion and interior accessories that are sold in the UK and Japan.
Aliya regularly exhibits in London. Her work may also be viewed online.
