born: 1976 in Udine (Italy).
Over the years, I’ve moved from an attention to people and to what one can read of their individual history from what one sees, to an attention to relationships. I’m obsessed by relationships and bonds, and even more by the dimension of dignity. It is rare for me to begin something meaningful beginning from a blank sheet. I’m more inclined to fish among my old unfinished or drafted works, accidentally produced during the “incubation years”, trying to give some dignity to what seems to me abandoned and left behind as if worthless, in order to transform it into a beautiful swan. Saving, fixing, and giving a dimension, a space, a context.
I use the computer to produce my commixtures because it allows me to put together different and non-homogeneous means, techniques and concepts that started as something different from their arrival point (?). Arrival point that never “arrives”, as most of my art pieces are cyclically remixed as something different. Acquired and vomited in order to be re-included and re-processed once again. I apologise for the not very elegant term, but it is the only one that gives a correct idea of the process. I can add that my procedure is maniacal in that the search for detail is essential in the global context of the symbolic meanings that are present in y pieces.
