My practice is concerned with density, materiality, and the instant quality of a simple form. Through playing with form, scale and materials of the objects, I have started to reflect some of my interests in sculpture and other mixed mediums.
Through my curiosity in architecture and linear constructions, I often desire to create artworks that echo these simplistic and pure influences. My work is also derived from an understanding of interaction, and identifies where the hazy boundaries between play and art can exist. Zaha Hadid, Roni Horn and the participatory work of Palle Nielsen largely influence my current work.
The majority of my work exists in the 2D, 2.5D and the 3D. 2.5D is an undetermined space where a wall based object and a sculptural object can communicate with each other. This communication relies on the presence of an object, and specifically how that object compels the viewer to physically move with it and or around it.
