Reconsidering the notion of photography as a faithful transcriber of reality, I have highlighted the deceptive property of the medium due to digital technology. I am concerned how the world is now saturated with manipulated images and the developments in post-photographic practice in relation to the traditional forms of photography. My practice is an ongoing investigation, combining photographic imagery with assemblage and mixed media in order to explore new modes of presentation and for the spectator to experience a more interactive perspective than from the traditional photographic print. Working alongside analogue with digital photography in order to keep the physicality of the medium, I aim to highlight the positives of each process by combining analogue with Digital technology.
