Kresimir Crash Vorich
Born on March 5th 1973, in Osijek, Croatia, one of the well-known industrial and cultural cities of formal Yugoslavia. He determined his passion for art early in his childhood. Back in the elementary school he already won several awards nationwide. His art style was after this early years pretty long swayed by Pop-Art & Rock influences - until the war in Croatia back in 1991. This kind of turbulent way of living gives him unique opportunity to altercate with deeper and discerning issues of human being. His work becomes much more (self-)critical. Some local art critics however charge his artwork to be sexist and morbid. Im not here to paint butterflies and flowers. Its not my mission is one of simple but sincere Crashs phrases. His actual artistic assignment is to tell his own personal story of the world in which were living. Thereby he avails himself of subconscious images and puts them on the canvas in the figurative & surrealistic manner.
