After working for three years in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (some kind of family tradition) I definitely knew this was no work for me. So I tried as a photographer (amateur till that time). After working one year in a private darkroom and lab I got a job as a photojournalist in 1980. For 12 years I worked in various newspapers and magazines and once again I knew (I needed more time to realize it) that its not the type of photographic work I wanted to do. I decided to become a freelancer. Landscape and architecture - good landscape photography - that was my goal. Poland was changing, I was changing and I begin to work on my archive of pictures. I seldom visited my home, always on the road. And it worked out: albums, calendars for big firms in Poland, cooperation with advertising agencies. Around 2004-2005 I realised that digital photography is becoming the main source of pictures for publishing, advertising etc., that digital photography would make the prices go down so I had to part in the near future with my Bronica GS-1 to earn a living ( I`m still using it from time to time)The occasion came very quickly: In 2007 I got a assignment for an album "Chopin`s Poland" (for the 200 anniversary of Chopin`s birth in 2010). I decided to do it with a digital camera. Finally it (the camera) convinced me. I try to use it as a classical camera: RAW and minor changes in PS. In 2009 I realised that having such a big experience (30 years) I can teach and have workshops. So now my main job is teaching photography and landscape photography workshops.
