Calum Lamb is a multi-disciplined artist; with an initial interest in animation and graphics he progressed to painting and graphic design in 2006-2007. He is to date largely self-taught in these practices as well as having broadened his interests to include screen printing, ink drawing and lino block printing. With a strong influence in linear geometry, architectural structure, optical art, and symmetry; he is preoccupied in his art with challenging the way the brain interprets visual information through the perception of depth, form and space; often communicating an impossible space, impossible geometries, or studying abstract structures.
