Rachelle is a painter and sculptor in New Mexico. When all goes well, her work emerges spontaneously and she can follow the inspiration. She likes happy accidents and the resilency and room for movement painting contains. She is inspired by the painful and triumphant stories of the people she works with and knows, as well as by the beauty of the landscape in which she grew up. She is inspired especially by the process of creating and the feel of materials as she manipulates them or lets them do their own thing. She enjoys using and incorporating found objects like lace, wood, stones, and reusing materials that would otherwise be useless.
She appreciates the new opportunity each painting brings to express and explore, and loved to mix intense colors to create a beautiful whole.
