I'm interested in transforming the found image using multiple digital editing techniques. I seek to heighten the emotional content while creating lush and loaded images.
The intersection of funny- scary- creepy- with an element of surprise and shock. A sense of disquiet, humor, a push-pull between the odd and conventional.

I want the viewer to be not quite sure what it is they are seeing.
I use distortion and mirroring to further this goal. I often start from a small base image and encourage the distortion that results when I scale up the pixels. I like a rich jewel like palette with the current work having a heavy use of rich black, brown, and green. I’m influenced by the surrealists and the three B’s: Bosch, Bacon, and Basquiat.
