Marcin Białas was born in 1977 in Zawiecie. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, the Department of Graphic art, diploma in Intaglio Print Studio of Prof. Jan Szmatloch in 2004. Since then he works as a member of th teaching staff in the Chair of Workshop Graphics of the Academy.
Received grands from: The Elizabeth Greenshields Fundation, Canada (2005), Tadeusz Kulisiewicz's Grand, Warszawa, Poland (2006), Silesian Voivode Grand, Katowice, Poland (2007), Grand of Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Warszawa (2007/ 2010). He works as a graphic artist (intaglio technique) and drawer.
