Born Queen Charlotes Hospital London UK 1944. I am a fourth generation hairdresser and had always wanted to find time to paint and make art. So at age 58yrs went to study art and design.
I find my inspiration to make work comes from everywhere and everything. Life is a wonderful journey and the creative proccess assists to solve problems that present themselves every day in a positive way. The blank page is always a challenge and once a mark has been made another will follow and so on and so on until I have satisfied myself that the art object is complete. I love to work with concept, colour words and texture, I use these methods to communicate with my audience. I enjoy the feedback gleaned from the viewer and it fascinates me how each individual will bring some new observation about the finished work.
